On 22 – 23 June the Municipal Demarcation Board (MDB) held its first conference on Demarcation and Spatial Transformation since the inception of the institution. The event which was held at Birchwood Hotel and Conference centre saw over 500 delegates in attendance, including representative from parliament, senior government officials, donor agencies, institutions supporting democracy, political parties and international participants and scholars to mention a few. The aim of the conference was to facilitate dialogue amongst all stakeholders on how to resolve challenges faced due to the demarcation processes of the MDB.
