Ms Gabisile Gumbi-Masilela
Ms Gabi Gumbi Masilela , has over 20 years of experience in the NGO, SOE and public service, in different portfolios and responsibilities. She was the Head of various department namely, KZN CoGTA, KZN Human Settlements and Eastern Cape CoGTA. The main highlight include heading the municipal functioning session in the former DPLG now CoGT i.e., as the Chief Director for Planning,Infrastructure, LED, Free Basic Services and Municipal Services Partnerships, she oversaw the development of IDPs. She was instrumental in the consolidation of various municipal infrastructure programmes into one MIG, participated and was in the Board of the Municipal Infrastructure Investment Unit, and a board member of the EDI Holdings.
Ms Gumbi-Masilela was responsible for the development of the Free Basic Services Policy and the regulations. She also served as the CEO of the MDB and served in various Boards, such as the Forever Farming Board, The KZN Growth fund, UShaka Marine World Board among others. She brings extensive experience to the Board and is ready to make a significant contribution.
She is currently the Director of Siyaphambili Consulting Services that focuses on Executive and Leadership Coaching, Team Coaching and Career Coaching and continues to do support work with youth and people with disabilities. Facilitation and Training, Monitoring and Evaluation and organizational development.
